Dear Gardener,

We hope you had a great year with us and look forward to seeing you in the Spring of 2026. Save the date: Mandatory Spring Meeting, March 28, 2026, at Hudson River Club (detailed information is to follow). Please find the following documents enclosed in your renewal package to ensure a smooth transition. Please pay close attention to the directions to avoid any complications.

  1. Renewal application Please complete it in its entirety and remember to sign it. Ensure you write legibly and provide us with updated info home address, working phone number, and email address. ONCE COMPLETED, RENEWAL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY USPS POSTAL MAIL. E-MAILED APPLICATIONS OR INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND RETURNED TO YOU ALONG WITH YOUR PAYMENT.

2.       Payment: Your renewal fee is $60 for a single plot and $120 for a double plot.

3.       Payment options:

Personal check please make payable to The Floyd Bennett Gardens Association, Inc. . Write your name (if not printed on your check) and plot number. One check per gardener name and plot number must match. If you are paying on behalf of somebody else in your family, please make a separate check and write their name and plot number legibly. You will be responsible for a bank fee if your check is returned for insufficient funds. In addition, your membership renewal may be delayed, and you may have to pay a $20 late fee. All payments must be submitted by January 31, 2026. Any payments made between February 1 and February 15, 2026, must include a $20 late fee. Payments and renewal applications will NOT be accepted after February 15, 2026.

Money Order please make payable to The Floyd Bennett Gardens Association, Inc. . Write your name and plot number. One Money Order per gardener name and plot number must match. If you are paying on behalf of somebody else in your family, please get a separate Money Order and write their name and plot number legibly.

Zelle. If you are paying via Zelle, please follow the instructions. Zelle payments will be accepted if your name on the Zelle account matches the name on the garden plot. Send payment to fbga@mail.com (pay attention to the correct payee). In the memo, please write your full name and plot number (very important!). If you are using Zelle, you still MUST send us your 2026 Renewal Application Form before February 15, 2026, and write "Zelle" at the top of the application form.

4.      Car Tag. Your membership fee includes the cost of one car tag sticker per plot. The price remains the same if you need a second tag or sticker: $5 for each additional tag/sticker. Please indicate on your renewal application that you wish to purchase a second car tag/sticker and include an additional $5 with your membership fee. You do not have to make a separate payment; add $5 to your annual fee.

  1. Community Service duty will remain the same 4 hours per plot. You will no longer need to sign up for the community service committee when you renew your application. You can choose your community service option during the Mandatory Spring Meeting or attend any prescheduled community service days in 2026. If you reach the age of 75, you are no longer required to participate in Community Service (make sure to include a copy of your driver’s license with your application form, if not done before).
  1. Children s garden application. If you signed up for your children to participate in Children s Garden last year, the application for 2026 will be included with your renewal package. If you wish to sign up for your children to participate in Children s Garden activities in 2026, please visit our website, fbga.us, download/fill out the Children s Garden application, and return it to us along with your renewal application.

All forms, including payments, must be postmarked by January 31, 2026. While there is a two-week grace period, any applications postmarked between February 1, 2026, and February 15, 2026, must include a $20.00 late fee per application. If we do not receive your application postmarked by February 15, 2026, we will conclude that you are no longer interested in returning for the 2026 gardening season, and your plot(s) will be reassigned. Incomplete forms or checks/money orders will not be processed until mistakes are corrected.

Contact Information of Committee Chairs and Elected Officials, updated FBGA Rules/ Regulations Information, and schedule of Community Service Days will be given out at the Mandatory Spring Meeting on March 28, 2026. Check your email regularly for important information and upcoming events.
